Illustrations and Concept Arts

Drawing isometric illustrations and concept art is truly enjoyable. It allows you to convey your story with intricate details about the atmosphere in which your character exists.

This is my final project for my digital painting class. The assignment was to create a piece inspired by the theme 'My Bear and I. After contemplating for days, I decided to create something more personal. I'm not generally an angry person, and I struggle to express my anger. However, there have been times when my pent-up emotions manifest as uncontrollable anger, which bothers me more than anyone else. So, I symbolized the bear as my anger and depicted how it controls me even when I'm just feeling sad.

This concept involves two of my character designs. It's based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood but offers a new perspective. What if the entire Little Red Riding Hood story is propaganda to have the Big Bad Wolf executed? In this twist, the Big Bad Wolf is actually a gentleman and the mayor of the animal city, who protects animals from humans. Additionally, Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother is the queen.

I had a blast drawing this old lady from a random color spot. I focused on capturing the details of ageing in her face, like wrinkles, lines and even white facial hair. And in contrast to her age, I gave her stylish sunglasses.

It all started with a picture of a little red-headed girl hanging off a branch, while her fox friend was sitting right beside her on that branch. Both were looking into the distance. I began sketching from it until my drawing no longer had anything to do with the original picture.

Studying different moods and highlights in illustration and drawing is truly fascinating. It’s interesting how varying light, shadows, color temperature, and little details can completely change the mood of an illustration. However, in this particular case, no matter how I painted it, my little frog still would be tired and lonely in both illustrations.

My dear uncle is someone who has always inspired me a lot during my life. He’s a board game designer, and I have always admired him for going after his dreams and working on them.

I always wanted to be like him and go after my dream. For his 43rd birthday, I decided to draw something for him and came up with this idea.
